Fidelity Homestead Association was formed in New Orleans, LA on December 28, 1908, and is a mutual institution chartered by the state of Louisiana. “Homestead” is a term used only in Louisiana when referring to a savings and loan. The purpose of the savings and loan industry is to give people a safe place to save money and to provide funds for housing.
